VeriFactu is the Spanish Tax Agency's (AEAT) verifiable invoicing system. It guarantees invoices can't be altered: each invoice is recorded with the tax agency and carries a QR code anyone can check. In Álava, Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia the equivalent system is TicketBAI, run by the regional tax agencies. It only applies to invoices for workshops whose country is set to Spain.

VeriFactu and TicketBAI are included in every plan.

What it does for you

When it's on, every invoice you create is recorded automatically with the tax agency (RD 1007/2023, or your territory's TicketBAI rules). The official PDF shows the QR code and the VERI*FACTU legend or, in the Basque Country, the TicketBAI code. Quotes, delivery notes, work orders and purchase orders are not affected.

You don't need a digital certificate: Tallerio records invoices through Verifacti, a specialised provider, with an authorization you sign only once.

How to enable it

The settings are in Settings → Workshop, VeriFactu block (only an administrator sees it, and only if the workshop's country is Spain).

  1. Check that the workshop's tax ID (NIF) is correct in the workshop details.
  2. Choose your Tax territory: Common territory (VeriFactu) or Álava, Gipuzkoa or Bizkaia (TicketBAI).
  3. Click Activate and sign the authorization:
    • Self-employed: you sign it online, with your details and an identity check.
    • Companies: fill in the representative's details, download the PDF, sign it and upload it.
  4. Once the authorization is accepted, you'll see VeriFactu active (or TicketBAI active) and your invoices are recorded on their own.

The VeriFactu (or TicketBAI) switch in the same block lets you turn it off if you record your invoices with another system. When it's off, Tallerio sends nothing to the tax agency.

Good to know

  • Invoices are recorded with today's date: issue them on the day you create them.
  • With TicketBAI, invoices to a customer with a tax ID need their address with postal code (5 digits) on the customer's record.
  • If the tax agency rejects an invoice, it's flagged in the invoice list. Write to support and we'll help you correct it.

Check the status

The Summary panel (side column in Settings) shows a Verifactu line with its current status. If it says "test", invoices don't have real tax effects yet.
